The Crimson sextet kept its first-place status in the Boston hockey writers weekly poll for the best hockey team in the East yesterday, but the vote was no longer unanimous.
Boston College is pressing the Crimson for top honors. The Eagles received a total of 127 1/2 total votes, and one and a half first-place votes, while the Crimson got 138 1/2 total votes and 12 1/2 first-place votes.
Boston University, twice-beaten by the Crimson, is in third place in the polling with 111 votes, followed by Yale (86), St. Lawrence (75), and Northeasterner (63). Princeton is in sixth place with 58 votes. Brown in seventh place with 56 votes and R.P.I., Dartmouth, Tufts. Army, Clarkson, and M.I.T. bring up the rear in that order-all with less than 20 votes.
The Crimson players Boston College on February 11. As of now, Harvard has a 6-0-1 record.
