Professor Lamb Dies at Home; Noted Chemist Was GSAS Dean

Arthur Becket Lamb, Erving Professor of Chemistry, Emeritus, died of a heart attack yesterday afternoon in his Brookline home. Professor Lamb was 72 years old.

Director of the Chemistry Laboratories from 1912 to 1947. Professor Lamb became Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in 1949 and remained in that post until 1943.
