Faculty guests at Briggs Hall will find themselves solitary drinkers in a room full of parched-looking females.
Briggs girls will now be permitted to serve sherry to faculty visitors on Wednesday guest nights, on the condition that they do not have any themselves. Radcliffe rules forbid girls either to drink or keep alcoholic beverages on college property.
Officials have announced that girls must abide by the honor system and not try to sneak a glass of sherry anyway.
