College Appoints Lord to Post Of Associate Slavic Professor

Provost Buck anounced Monday the apointment of Albert Bates Lord as associate professor of Slavic Languages and Literatures, effective July 1.

Lord will continue teaching humanities in the General Education program, as well as his special field of south Slavic Languages and Literatures for advanced students.

An authority on Yugoslav folklore, Lord is now preparing Harvard's Milman Parry Collection for publication. In addition to "Serbo-Creation Heroic Songs." he is working on a book.
