'55 Forum to Handle Scholarship Problems

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

About 250 freshmen, scholarship applicants, will hear an informal discussion of the procedures governing award of scholarships at 7:15 p.m. tonight in the Union's upstairs common room.

F. Skiddy Von Stade, Jr. '38, Director of Scholarships, Graham R. Taylor, Director of Student Placement, and John U. Monro '34, Director of the Financial Aid Center, will speak and answer questions. Dean Leighton will preside.

Monro first thought of having such a meeting a couple of weeks ago at the Harvard Club of Boston's annual dinner for all Harvard Club scholarship holders. Impressed with the number of good questions asked, Monro called a trial meeting of 70 Yardling scholarship holders. As a result of their enthusiasm, he planned tonight's forum.
