Sextet Plays Tigers Tonight; Teams Meet on Even Terms

Princeton's hockey team comes to the Arena tonight on exactly even terms with the Crimson sextet. At Monday's weekly hockey dinner poll the two teams finished in a tie for eighth place among Eastern college sixes. Harvard will be out to avenge its January 2-0 defeat by the Tigers, though, and on the basis of its showing in recent games, should have a slight edge. The face-off in at 8:30 p.m.

Prior to the varsity game the House stars will square off in an Open-Closed All-Star game, beginning at 6:45. Open, made up of players from Leverett, Lowell, Kirkland, and Winthrop, will oppose a Closed squad consisting of Dudley, Dunster, and Eliot men.

The Tigers have lost four of their last five games, two of them to Yale by scores of 4 to 3 and 4 to 0. In their last outing, they defeated Dartmouth, 3 to 1. Hank Bothfeld, Jiax Cleaves, and Tom Davis make up the first line, while Orange and Black goalie Blair Torrey is a mainstay in the cage.

Crimson coach Cooney Welland's sextet, after putting up an excellent show for one period in New Haven last week, folded in the second and third periods and let the Elis score twice in each. However, the team is at full strength for tonight's game, and if it can play as well as it did against Yale, it should be able to knock off the Tigers.

On its past record, however, the Crimson has been an in-and-out team, playing well one night, and badly the next, and vice-versa. The good showing against Northeastern was followed by a very poor game against Brown in Providence, and the very bad evening in the second B.U. game was followed by a great job against Brown at the Arena.
