The varsity B and C squash teams both won their matches yesterday. The B team defeated M.I.T., 4 to 1, at Tech, while the league leading C's were whitewashing the Newton Squash and Tennis Club, 5 to 0, at Hemenway Gymnasium. There will be two matches at 5 p.m. in Hemenway today, with the varsity C's meeting the Beverly Y.M.C.A. and the freshmen playing the Maugus Club.
Crimson winners against M.I.T. were CharMe Elliott, Mike Ward, Larry Brownell, and Ted Rose. Number one man, Wis Wood, was the only loser for the varsity B.
Haddon Tomes, Steve Sonnabend, John Rauh, Paul Garrigue, and Berk Johnson, playing in that order, took part in the varsity C shutout of the Newton Squash and Tennis Club. They lost only three games between them in the process of the rout.
