Ufford Rises to Quarter-Finals Of National Squash Tourney

Number one Crimson squash player Charlie Ufford advanced to the quarter-finals of the National Squash Racquets Tournament in New Haven yesterday.

Ufford, who beat John Durand of Rochester and Roger Bakey of Boston, today faces Detroit's Eddie Hahn, three-time defending champion and pre-tourney favorite.

The varsity whipped Hartford and Detroit yesterday by identical 4 to 1 scores, to move into the semi-finals with teams representing New York, Boston, and Philadelphia.
