Still without the services of sophomore lineman Dick Clasby, the varsity hockey team treks into the Frozen North today, eventually to play Dartmouth on Hanover's Davis Rink. Game time, for anybody thinking of watching it, is 8 p.m.
Clasby, badly banged and bruised in the 5 to 1 victory over Dartmouth a week ago, will probably be out for another week. George Chase and Jim O'Brian will share his right wing slot on the Walt Greeley Amory Hubbard line.
Although unhappy over Clasby's loss. Coach Cooney Welland was more enthusiastic about his second, "all-senior" line: Bill Timpson centering for Morgan Hatch and Nat Harris.
Timpson's play has been a pleasant surprise," said Welland. "He's improved by leaps and bounds since the start of the season.
Always fast and aggressive, Timpson has this year acquired the scoring knack in addition to a fine ability to set up plays for his wings.
Hatch has recently returned to full service after injury.
"He's shown very well," said Weiland," while Harris has always been a good two-way hockey player."
Weiland plans to stick to his defense pairings of Captain Dusty Burke with Bill Bliss, and Tony Patton with Jeff Coolidge. Brad Richardson will start at goal, backed up by newcomer Ken Eddy. Nate Corning, the other goalie, must stay in Cambridge for a lab period this afternoon.
