Myles Huntington's freshmen hockey team dropped its first game of the season to St. Paul's, 2 to 0, Saturday at Concord. The loss out short the Yardlings' winning streak at eight consecutive wins and blasted all hopes for an undefeated season.

Unreasonably warm weather had softened the ice, leaving many rough spots that slowed down the match and made hard skating difficult and sharp, or even moderately accurate passing, impossible.
