Winthrop's combined 'A' and 'B' basketball squads stopped the previously undefeated Air R.O.T.C. last night, winning in overtime, 35 to 30. The rough Puritan hockey team had an easier time of it yesterday morning, smashing weak-sister Adams, 10 to 0, as Moe Baldwin scored four goals.
Other R.O.T.C. basketball teams also floundered last night. The Navy forfeited its game to the Kirkland 'A' squad, while Lowell's 'A' team trimmed the Army, 30 to 21. Leverett lost both of its league contests to Dudley, with the Commuter 'A' team winning, 41 to 38, and the 'B' team, 33 to 25.
In House squash, the Lowell 'A' team bested Adams, 3 to 2, and Kirkland leads Dunster, 4 to 0, with one match to go. 'B' league results: Dunster 2, Adams 2, with a match to go; Kirkland 2, Eliot 2, also with one match unplayed; Lowell 5, Winthrop 0, 'C' league results: Dunster 3, Adams 2; Kirkland 3, Eliot 2; Dudley 3, Leverett 2.
