Ted Reynolds 2GB, who has served as unofficial coach of the 150 pound crew during the fall season, will coach the team in official capacity for the first time this spring. He succeeds Bert Haines as crew mentor.

Reynolds was a member of the 1950 crew which won the Grand Challenge Cup. The same team was coxed by William Leavitt '50, present freshman crew coach.

Last year the crewmen achieved their best record since 1948. The varsity team won the Goldthwaite Cup for the twelfth time, but came in second in the Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges behind the undefeated team of the University of Pennsylvania. The JV team was undefeated.

Varsity team members and freshman crew candidates will meet with the new coach at 7 p.m. this Thursday in Newell Boat House.
