'Cliffe Council to Poll On Field House Uses

A poll to gather Radcliffe opinion on proposed plans to make the Field House a substitute for "The Corner" will be taken this week, according to a motion passed by Radcliffe's Student Council yesterday.

New uses for the Field House, which until this year housed studios of Radio Radcliffe, were suggested at last week's Council meeting, and include a proposed snack bar, Coke and cigarette machines.

A television set for the Field House is also being considered. This will be submitted as a question in the poll, which Nancy Barrow '53, Student Government President, hopes will be tabulated by Thanksgiving.

If student opinion favors the plans suggested for the Field House, work could be started immediately after Thanksgiving, Miss Barrow added.

Money to finance the proposed installations in the Field House will come from $1200 of Social Committee profits from dances in recent years, Rene Michelson '53, Social Chairman, said.
