Response to Civil Liberties Brings In Over $900 Daily

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Over $900 a day has been coming into headquarters of the 1952 Civil Liberties Appeal, its directors announced last night. A total of close to $5,000 has been collected thus far.

According to present plans, all money received will be divided evenly for the campaigns of Thomas E. Fairchild of Wisconsin, Governor Henry F. Schricker of Indiana, and Senator William Benton of Connecticut. Individual contributions, however, can be donated for any one of the three.

About 10,000 letters asking for contributions have yet to reach their destination, according to the Appeal's directors. Close to 20,000 letters will be sent out in all.
