John Hart '52, Harvard's most "esoteric athlete," finished 14th in the Jackson Outing Club's invitation cross-country race Sunday at Jackson, New Hampshire.
In a meet between Eastern Colleges and Ski clubs, Hart finished 12 minutes behind winner George Kurronon of the Finish Ski Club, in the grueling nine-mile cross-country course. Trailing Hart by three and a half minutes, skier Jim Lawson '52, finishing second for the Crimson, placed 18th in the race.
The full schedule of intercollegiate ski meets has not yet gotten under way. The highlights of the season are the Dartmouth and Middlebury Carnivals, and the Harvard sponsored ski meet at Bromley.
