Council Elects Officers Next Monday Night

Twelve men will be eligible for election to the three top posts on the Student Council when the Council holds '52 elections next Monday night, President Richard M. Sandler said yesterday.

As in the past, the presidency will probably go to one of the eight juniors now serving on the Council. The other two positions of vice-president and secretary-treasurer are traditionally open to sophomores as well as juniors.

Of the 12 eligible members on the Student Council, four men, Thomas W. Hoya '53, Richard E. Johnson '53, Daniel L. Richle '54, and Paul D. Sheats '54, were reelected to their seats December 14.

Members who were appointed to the Council are not eligible for the administrative positions. Monday night's meeting will be the last for seniors on the Council.

With 73 percent of the G.E. polls rearned to the Committee on General Education, Chairman Robert H. Cole '52 announced last night that the Committee's report will be released in the first or second week of February. Originally scheduled for release in December of last year, the report bogged down when the I.B.M. tabulator was not available in December because of a full-time load of University material.

Students were more co-operative than G.E. section men in filling out the questionnaire, Cole said. Only 50 percent of the section men mailed their copies back to the Committee.
