All University buildings are free from fire hazards, according to a recent survey of the buildings by the engineering firm of Marsh and McLennen, Inc. The engineers, after a thorough check of the structures, expressed satisfaction at existing safety standards.
The engineers perform this inspection annually for the University. In their report, they recommended the installation of a few additional fire extinguishers, but found little else that needed correction.
The annual survey supplements the work of two inspectors who do nothing other than check the buildings for fire hazards, one of the most frequent of which is student-improvised wiring.
