Morison Earns Flag

Samuel Eliot Morison '08, professor of American History at Harvard, has been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral (retired) in the United States Navy, it was announced recently.

Morison was cited for his services as chronicler of American naval battles during the last war, in which he served as a Lieutenant Commander. He is at present engaged in a many-volumed study of the Navy's role in World War II.
