President and Mrs. Conant leave for a two month tour of New Zealand and Australia July 8. While en route, the President will speak in a discussion on "Science and Defense" in Sydney, Australia, during a three day review of "Science in Australia.
His other scheduled activities include a speech at the Seminar of the Australian National University during the 50th anniversary celebration of the Australian Commonwealth and a two-day stay in Honolulu, July 10 and 11, where he will interview Harvard alumni. The Conants plan to return to Cambridge September 2.
