Scoring Honors for '54 Ten Go to Aiello

Captain Monk Aiello took scoring honors for the Yardling lacrosse team with 11 goals and 12 assists-roughly 28 percent of the squad's total of 111 tallies, it was learned yesterday.

Not only did Aiello amass the highest number of goals scored, but he was the only player to score in every game. Attackman Ed Curtis was second by notching 19 tallies and 20 assists.

Phil Waring was the high-scoring midfielder, registering 18 goals and nine assists. Among them the first midfield of Chuck Edwards, Skippy Baldwin, and Waring flipped in 32 goals.

Paul Jones sparked a strong defense of Bob Larsen, Art Coburn, Johnny Hartwell, and John Rodgers. Baldwin was the outstanding midfielder, often playing a whole quarter at a time.
