The Yardling lacrosse team compiled its highest score of the season yesterday, routing an inexperienced M.I.T. squad, 18 to 3, on the New Playing Field. Ed Curtis led the Crimson scoring spree with four goals and five assists.
Captain Monk Alello followed with three goals and two assists, while midfielder Tod Goodwin flicked in four goals and Phil Waring notched a tally and three assists.
Tech midfielder Jack Jackson drove in the first score at 7:14 of the opening period, but within two minutes Goodwin tallied twice to put the Yardlings ahead 2 to 1. From then on the outcome was never in doubt and the freshmen scored almost at will.
After a sloppy first period, the Yard defense settled down to play good ball--especially on the clearing.
