Sun Decks Built on Grand Center Roofs

Sun decks are one advantage of modern architecture that Gropius probaybl never thought of. For the past week, however, graduate students have been lolling on newly constructed sun platforms on top of the flat roofs of Ames and Storey Halls.

The sun decks, erected Friday, are the result of many requests from grad students, who have unsuccessfully tries to sun themselves on the insulation of Graduate Center roofs.

Twenty by forty feet in area, "the wooden platforms will accommodate a good many students," according to Charles J. Walsh, Director of Buildings and Grounds at the Law School.
