Conant Will Give Talk On U.S. Policies Today

President Conant will make his first major address on foreign policy since his return from Europe when he speaks today before a joint meeting of the Chicago Association of Commerce and the Council on Foreign Relations.

His speech, "The Defense of Europe in the Atomic Age," will be delivered at 12:30 p.m.

A Chicago Associated Harvard Clubs meeting will feature a debate on present Far Eastern policy which Conant will chair. Opposing speakers will be John K. Fairbank '29, professor of History, and William Y. Elliott, Williams Professor of History and Politial Science.
