Dick Button won the North American Figure Skating Championships last Saturday night for the third straight year. The Lowell House junior adds this title to his Olympic Championship, four world, and six United States crowns.

Button was the overwhelming winner, gaining first place votes in both the combined compulsory school figures and the free skating events from all six judges. Jim Grogan of Tacoma, Washington, stayed surprisingly close in the compulsory figures but then fell far behind in the free skating competition.
