Council Will Meet To Discuss Rules

The Student Council will meet tomorrow night to decide what recommendations, if any, it will make concerning the Regulations for Undergraduate Organizations in Harvard College published by the Dean's Office Wednesday.

Richard M. Sandler '52, president of the Council, said last night that he was not particularly surprised by the appearance of the rules or by University Hall's rejection of Council proposals for less restrictions submitted December 11.

An agreement had been reached between the Council and Associate Dean Watson that the rules had passed back and forth between the Council and University Hall long enough, Sandler explained, and that if the recommended changes were not acceptable to the Faculty Committee on Student Affairs, they would be issued as the committee desired.

It was also a term of the agreement that reconsideration of the rules would be postponed until they were used for a term.
