The fencing team went down to its first defeat of the season Saturday and its worst in many a year, 22 to 5, at West Point.

The only Crimson points were scored by Captain Win Overholser in the epee event, who took one bout from Cadet John Walters, Chris Martin, who took two out of three bouts in the foils event, and Forrest Carter, who took two out of three in the sabre contest.

The freshmen downed Bradford Technical Institute here, 19 to 8.
