Seniors who are honors candidates in fields requiring general examinations will no longer have to take final examinations in courses within their field of concentration, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences decided at its meeting yesterday. The new ruling extends to courses accepted as related to the field of concentration.
Several fields have been waiving finals for honors seniors during the past several years. Yesterday's ruling was passed by the faculty to make the custom uniform throughout all the department.
Finals will not be waived for honors seniors who failed to earn a C, or better, up to a week before General Examinations.
