Law School Ames Semi-finals Begin Tonight at 8 p.m.

Baseball's reserve clause will get a local airing tonight in the semi-finals of the Law School's Ames Competition. The Honorable William H. Hastie, judge of the United States Court of Appeals of the Third Circuit, will serve as chief judge at the mock trial in Langdell Courtroom which starts at 8 p.m.

Serving as associate judges will be Elliot L. Richardson LL.B. '44 and Charles P. Curtiss LL.B. '17, both of the Boston Bar. They will pick the winner of the trial between the J. Smith Club, representing the fictitious Fred Daniels, plaintiff--who jumped the Washington team of the American League--, and the E. Warren Club, representing Baseball Commissioner Handler.

Spokesmen for the eight-man Smith Club will be Joseph R. Cortese 3L, and Philip C. Potter, Jr. 3L, and for the Warren Club, Brock Adams 3L and Saul Z. Cohen 3L.

Backing up the student attorneys for the Smith Club will be Robert P. Cook 3L, Phil N. Crawford 3L, Theodore J. Horvath 3L. William J. Kelley 3L, Richard E. Mansfield 3L and Arthur V. Savage 3L.

Supporting the Warren Club's orators will be Jack Brown 3L, Robert A. Goldston 3L, Alvin Levin 3L, David H. Vernon 3L, Robert Warsaw 3L, and Marvin W. Weinstein 3L.
