Varsity Drops Vacation Trip; Will Play N.U. Huskies Jan. 5

The Crimson basketball team will not be travelling the western, or any other circuit over the vacation. The season will resume for the varsity quintet before classes begin, however, with a game against Northeastern in the Indoor Athletic Building at 8 p.m. Saturday, January 5.

Coach Norm Shepard's five will take a three and two record into this contest. Northeastern is not even a local power, and the game should prove to be little more than a warm-up for the crucial Ivy League encounter with Columbia in New York on January 9.

Harvard showed great promise in its losses to powers Navy and Boston College, and could well move high up the Ivy ladder after vacation.
