Nominations for election to the Student Council are now open to members of the sophomore and junior classes. Petitions, containing 25 names or more, must be submitted to the Student Coun-office in Phillips Brooks House before 5 p.m., Monday, December 3.
Elections will be held the following Friday, December 7. To encourage commuter voting, elections will be held on both Thursday and Friday in Dudley.
In addition, the Council reports that until today it has received very few applications for the student financial aid fund of $800 it has established to lend money for those students who find themselves hard pressed to pay their November term bills.
The money will be loaned out to students on the basis of need. Applications will be accepted against this fund this afternoon and Friday afternoon between 2 and 5 p.m. at the Council offices. If all the money is not used this fall, any amount left over will be carried over to the spring term and will be added to a similar fund to be used for term bills which fall due in February.
