Myles Huntington '50, varsity hockey captain in 1949-50, will be the new freshman coach. Athletic Director Bolles announced last night. Huntington succeeds George Roberts '39, who resigned after last season to enter business.
The new coach centered for the varsity for two straight years before becoming captain. During his junior year, he was high scorer for the Crimson with 26 goals and 14 assists. In that year, he suffered a broken collar bone, shoulder, and nose, in two consecutive games at the end of the season. He also earned three baseball letters as a second baseman.
Huntington's new charges have been working out for the past week at the Skating Club in nocturnal unofficial practice sessions for their early December opening game.
