College sailors placed fourth in the race for the Danmark Trophy at New London. In a field of 12, the varsity fell behind M.I.T. Coast Guard, and Tufts. The Crimson, however, arrived late, missing the first two races, and a possible 26 points.

In division A. Charles Hoppins finished fifth, and in division B. co-skippers Jim Nathan son and John Bishop ended in fourth place.

The freshman team at M.I.T. failed in an elimination race to get into the final for the New England championship. Dave Robins raced in A division, while Robert Rittenburg was in B.
