Columbia Hoop Star Molinas Wins Dare, Loses Eligibility

Jack Molinas, who sparked Columbia's 1950-51 basketball team to the Eastern League championship last year, has been suspended from college for at least one semester.

The suspension resulted from an incident last spring, when the 6-foot-5-Inch center threw a glass tumbler out of a dormitory window on a dare. It hit the windshield of a professor's car.

Molinas scored 331 points last year, in 25 games. He also led the Lions in taking rebounds from the backboard.
