Radcliffe Library Rids Bookcheck

The remodelling of the Radcliffe library has marked the return of the honor system in borrowing boks from the library, Miss Ruth Poritt, head librarian, disclosed yesterday.

The former system, started last April, provided a signing out desk at the foot of the library stairs where books taken from the library were checked out by a members of either the library staff or student council. This checking system was used until the end of last term.

However, with the new location of the main desk at the bottom of the staircase, an extra checking-out desk would be unnecessary, Miss Poritt explained.
