Harlan P. Hanson '46, an old Kirkland resident, will move back to the House next year as senior tutor, Housemaster Mason Hammond '25 revealed yesterday.
Hanson, who comes from Madison, Wisconsin, is now an Assistant Dean of the College and Proctor of Mower Hall. He will retain his Deanship next year in addition to the new Kirkland duties.
Even though he is keeping his position as Dean, Hanson's appointment has no relation to the system of "House Deans" now under consideration by the Faculty's Committee on Advising. If that system-under which the College Dean's office would be decentralized and a Dean placed in each House-is adopted, it cannot be put into effect until the fall of 1951.
