Second Freshman Crew Wins In Numeral Race on Charles

In its only race of the season, the freshman heavy second crew earned its numerals by defeating the Crimson freshman third boat by three lengths, and the M.I.T. second freshmen by three and one-half lengths over the 2000-meter course on the Charles yesterday. The winning time was 6:27, under good conditions.

The winners' boatings: Jeffries, bow; Paulus, 2; Rieselbach, 3; Whiting, 4; Straus, 5; Henderson, 6; Simonds, 7; Adams, stroke; McCauley, coxswain.
