The Yardling tennis team will meet some rough opposition in its traditional match with the alumni today. Play will start on the Soldiers Field courts at 2 p.m.
Yesterday, a scheduled match with Deerfield was rained out, but the afternoon was not a total loss. The freshmen elected unbeaten Charles Wilbur Ufford of Haverford, Pa. and Weld Hall as their captain. Ufford is the squad's lead-off singles player. He was captain of the freshman squash team this winter.
Ufford and most of his teammates were in command when rain forced them to retire yesterday. Today's match with the College Grads will provide a good basis for comparison with the varsity if the Grad-varsity match which was rained out last Saturday is rescheduled.
