Bermuda week proved to be a pleasant spring vacation for the Crimson rugby team, but the competition on the playing field was too stiff for the ruggers, as their record of one win and three defeats shows.
Harvard began the week by losing a 6 to 0 decision to the Bermuda Athletic Association on Sunday, April 2 Princeton, who eventually went on to win the Big Three title, swamped the ruggers, 13 to 0, on Tuesday, but the Crimson bounced back to beat the British Army team on Wednesday, 17 to 3. Hollis French and Captain Joe Eaton starred in this game, in which the Crimson had to lend Hollis Hunnewell to the undermanned Army team
Yale defeated the Crimson, 5 to 0, in the final game on Saturday. The match yesterday between the All-star teams from Bermuda and the United States ended in a scoreless tie.
