PBH Drive Nets 550 Pints of Blood for Collection Record

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Phillips Brooks House collected 550 pints for blood during its three day drive to exceed last fall's total by 163 pints, William, R. Polk '51, drive chairman, announced last night.

Although almost 1000 students had pledged blood by the beginning of the drive, many had to be rejected because of ill health. Others were turned away because parental permission did not arrive in time.

In the previous post-war blood drives the record was only 183 pints.
