Annex freshmen will adopt a European foster child with the proceeds from their spring weekend, the class decided in a meeting at Cabot Hall yesterday. Funds will be sent abroad, rather than transporting the D.P. to this country.

Events during the freshman weekend will begin with two one-act plays for the freshmen's senior sisters on Friday afternoon, March 21. An informal dance that evening will be followed on Saturday by a tea organized by the commuters. A dinner Saturday at Cabot Hall, and a formal dance that evening will wind up the weekend.

Besides the money raised for the foster child, the freshmen hope to make their first annual $100 deposit in their savings account.

Other fund-raising schemes include sales of Radcliffe pennants, beanies, and recordings from the forthcoming "Drum-beats and Song," President Martha McCabe explained.
