Matthews South clinched the National League title in intramural Yard basketball last night by shading Massachusetts, 23 to 22. A three-way tie for first place in the American League, between Thayer South, Matthews North, and Holworthy resulted when Thayer South defeated Matthews North 27 to 18 and Holworthy downed Lionel 27 to 12.
Other scores in the National League found Thayer North edging Wigglesworth West, 21 to 19, Hollis routing Grays, 25 to 13, and Mower downing Straus North, 27 to 18. In the American League Stoughton defeated Weld South, 23 to 19, and Wigglesworth East outscored Straus North, 18 to 12.
