Eliot Leads Race In Straus Trophy Fall Intramurals

Eliot Houses is leading the Straus Trophy race in intramural athletics with 240 points. Lowell is second with 225 points, and Leverett and Kirkland are tied for third with 220 points. Winthrop has 200 points, Dudley 100, Adams 180, and Dunster 140.

Final results were computed yesterday after the cross-country race, the last of the three fall sports accredited to trophy standings. Of the three sports, tackle football offers a possible 150 points, touch football a possible 125, and cross-country a possible 50. Eliot amassed the possible 150 points in tackle football, and 40 of the possible 50 in the cross-country event.

House standings by trophy points in tackle football are as follows: Eliot, 150; Lowell, 135; Winthrop, 120; Kirkland, 110; Adams, 90; Dunster, 85; and Dudley, 80.

In touch football, Dudley was the leader with 115 points, and was followed in order by Leverett, 100 points: Kirkland, 85; Winthrop and Adams in a fourth place tie with 70; Eliot, 60; Lowell, 55; and Dunster, 50.

Cross-country standings show that Eliot gained 40 points; Lowell, 35; Adams, 30; Kirkland, 25; Leverett, 20; Dunster, 15; Winthrop, 10; and Dudley, 5.
