Amory Upholds Hit At Democratic Club

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Robert Amory, Jr. '36, professor of Law, said last night that he saw "no reason to retract my statements on the Law School Democratic Club's part in the recent local election."

A Democratic Club statement on Monday asked that Amory either produce evidence to back his accusation of "prejudicial methods" used in the Law Democrats' electioneering or that he issue a public apology.

Amory, however, indicated yesterday that he did not care to comment further on the matter, especially since "95 percent of my attitude was 'why are these fellows coming down from the Dever-Coolidge level and mixing in this acute, local city problem?' Only five percent of my disturbance was over reported electioneering methods."
