Track shoes would have done the politically-minded student no good last night, when he should have been in two places at the same time. Adams and Eliot both held election forums with well-known faculty members participating. In addition, last Thursday, three House forums were held in the same evening.

The large number of House activities this fall is an encouraging sign that the Houses may soon approach their pre-war peak and once again be more than just giant dormitories. But better scheduling of activities is needed.

A clearing station for the registration of College events would let a group know what programs have already been scheduled for a particular day. At present any organization would have to contact at least two dozen groups individually to learn the plans for a certain evening.

Several events would continue to occur each week-day night, but a clearing house could keep two forums, appealing to men with the same interests, from being scheduled for the same evening. Otherwise, a group may invite a speaker and then have to explain to him why almost no audience showed up.
