The 1950 Civil Liberties Appeal has received $1,500 in response to 25,000 letters sent out six days ago, Robert J. Gold, teaching fellow in Government and secretary treasurer of the group, announced yesterday.
Gold stated that "the largest amount came from scores of small contributors," and that the group expects a larger sum to come in during the next week.
