Bruins Next for Yard Five After 56-48 Green Win

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Encouraged by Saturday's 56 to 48 victory over Dartmouth, Coach Floyd Wilson of the freshman basketball team will send his club in search of its seventh triumph in eight starts against a tough Brown quintet at 6:45 p.m. in the Block-house.

Brown boasts an impressive season's record of five victories in seven games, including a pair of easy triumphs over MIT. Most consistent scorer for the Bruin yearlings has been Captain John Solio, who has averaged 14.5 points per game. He is a former high school teammate and close friend of Captain Dick Lionette of the Yardling five.

In Saturday's contest, the freshmen jumped to a 13 to 9 first period lead over Dartmouth, a margin they maintained throughout the contest. Particularly impressive was the play of guard Al (Buddy) Le May and forward Forrest Hansen, whose ball-hawking and backboard play stalled the Green offense. Le May topped Crimson scorers with 16 points.

Probable starting lineups: BROWN--Flanders, lf; Christopher, rf; Carter, c; Solio, lg; Piscuskus, rg. HARVARD--Urdan, lf; Hansen, rf; Lionette, c; Judson, rg; Le May, lg.
