Three College undergraduates shared top honors in the national William L. Putnam competition in mathematics, examination officials announced yesterday.
They are D. L. Marmush '49 of New York, W. F. Stinespring '49 of Durham, N.C., and Ariel Zemach '51 of New York.
All three placed among the five highest scorers in the six-hour exam, which was given simultaneously in colleges all over the United States and Canada.
