Webb Starts for '52 Nine Against Leicester Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Spider Webb will try to snap his curve over the plate and the freshman baseball team over its losing ways when Leicester Junior College arrives at Soldiers Field at 3:45 p.m. this afternoon.

With only three games left on the schedule, the Yardlings now sport a record of seven victories, five defeats, and one tie. This record should make the squad a slight favorite to trim the inexperienced Leicester nine.

Donelan Pitches Saturday

Coach Dolph Samborski indicated yesterday that pitcher-captain Jack Donelan will probably pitch against Andover this Saturday. Donelan is responsible for four of the team's seven victories.

Thursday will see the opening contest of the Hickeys vs. Carduffs intra-squad series which was postponed last week. The second game will be played Monday, and the third game, if necessary, on Wednesday or Thursday.

Today's batting order: Carduff 2b, Robinson rf, Akillian cf, Walsh, c, Donelan lf, Hickey 3b, Young ss, Switzer 1b, and Webb p.
