42 'Cliffedwellers Win A.A. Awards

The Radcliffe Athletic Association wound up the sports year this week with awards of one blazer, one junior award, 22 letters, and 18 class numerals.

At the same time, outgoing president Ann Clark '49 announced the girls who will head seven sports during 1949-50.

Sally Vincent '52 will be leader of badminton and chairman of other sports include Joan Bennett '52, bowling; Judith Haskell '51, dance group; Martha Sherich '51, swimming; Ann Wierum '50, riding; and Janet Stewart '50, basketball.

Helen Duker '49 was awarded the A.A.'s highest honor--an all-white blazer for having run up 850 athletic points on Annex playing fields.

Barbara Beatley '50 received an A.A. junior award--the Radcliffe seal in cherry and white felt--for totaling over 510 athletic points.

The Class of '50 took the intramurals cup away from the current senior class for the first time in three years this spring.

Three new A.A. officials, named yesterday, are Barbara Beatley '50, intramurals head; Ann Worthington '52, publicity chairman; and Ellen Guild '52, hostess.
