Frosh Nine Plays New Prep Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Spider Webb draws his first starting assignment for the freshman nine at 7 p.m. today against New Prep on Soldiers Field. The entire Crimson lineup assumes a semblance of permanency after only two games.

Bill Hickey will start at third base again, with Charlie Cabot still waiting it out on the bench. Henry Young and Win Carduff will flank second base. Tim Wise will temporarily take over at first from Al Switzer, and Bill Goodman will continue to take care of the catching chores.

Today's outfield will consist of Bob Thompson in right, Ben Akillian in center, and Jack Donelan in left. But Thompson's grasp on the regular right field role is still closely challenged by Buster Connolly, Slats Harris, and Gordon Morrison.
